⚠️ Early Threat Recognition
Threats rarely begin at the moment of attack. They start as subtle disruptions — unusual behaviour, changes in body language, emotional instability, or instinct-triggering signals. This module teaches you how to recognise danger before it develops.
1️⃣ Threats Start Subtle
People rarely “snap” without warning. Small signals appear first:
- Pacing or restless movements
- Fixated staring
- Scanning for targets or exits
- Repeatedly changing direction
- Unusual agitation or rapid emotional swings
2️⃣ Disrupted Social Behaviour
Humans follow invisible social rules:
- We maintain personal space
- We walk predictable routes
- We don’t shadow other people’s path
- We don’t stare at strangers intensely
- We adjust our behaviour around families
When someone breaks these rules in a meaningful way, it is a potential early threat — even if they haven't done anything “wrong” yet.
3️⃣ Instinct Before Logic
Your instincts are a data-collecting machine. They detect micro-movements and subtle behaviour shifts long before your logical mind catches up.
4️⃣ The Behaviour Escalation Ladder
This ladder shows how behaviour grows before violence:
- Level 1 – Unusual behaviour
Something feels “off.” - Level 2 – Concerning behaviour
Breaking social norms, wandering too close, watching intently. - Level 3 – Pre-contact cues
Pacing, scanning, weight shifting, hiding hands. - Level 4 – Imminent threat
Approaching fast, closing distance, sudden movements.
5️⃣ The Early Action Rule
The safest strategy is simple:
Distance gives you time, time gives you control, and control keeps you safe.
